Hi, I'm Ricky Young, owner of NoSo Funding.

I specialize in VA One-Time Close construction loans for veterans and active-duty military members in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee.

In 2018, I moved from New York to Charlotte and launched NoSo Funding in a market dominated by large retail lenders. Like many mortgage brokers, I initially worked on traditional purchases and refinances. Everything changed when a veteran asked for help financing the construction of a new home using their VA benefit. At the time, there were very few viable options.

VA construction lending was difficult. Limited program options, builder resistance, appraisal challenges, and operational hurdles made many projects hard to complete successfully.

Over the years, VA One-Time Close construction lending became the primary focus of my business. I've worked on dozens of VA construction projects with veterans, builders, appraisers, title companies, and construction administrators through every stage, from land acquisition to final construction closeout.

Because VA construction loans are significantly more complex than a traditional mortgage, experience matters.
